Xiaohong Kang, is a highly qualified and experienced doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the leading professional body in the UK for acupuncturists. An Acupuncture and Herbal Specialist, she has an excellent reputation for successfully treating an extensive range of disorders.
Doctor Kang received 8 years training in China at the universities of Guangzhou and Fujian, gaining a master’s degree in acupuncture and moxibustion and a bachelor’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Doctor Kang practised in China as Physician in Charge at the Xiamen Hospital of TCM for several years before coming to England.
She has been in clinical practice since 1984 and has helped thousands of patients over the years with a wide range of medical conditions. She specialises in the treatment of pain problems, stress, depression, infertility, ME, poor immune systems, headache and migraine, IBS etc.
Patients are often referred to the clinic by their GPs, and our fees may also be covered by most health insurance companies for a variety of conditions e.g. tennis elbow, whiplash etc.
Dr Kang is based in Altrincham and also holds clinic in Gatley.
